Therma-Tron-X, Inc. is pleased to announce that Thomas Persson has joined TTX as their newest HTF (Heat Treat Furnace) sales engineer.
Thomas was born and raised in beautiful Hässleholm, Sweden. He returns annually to visit his parents who still farm their family homestead. He came to the United States to further his education and attended Youngstown State University, OH, where he earned his Master of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He also then became a Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Ohio.
Thomas came to HTF from Cockerill Maintenance & Ingénierie, a Belgium company that has a high temp furnace division in Ohio. He was a project engineer and then a sales engineer with them for nearly a decade. Thomas’s heat transfer experiences also included Berry Metal, Delphi and Danieli Wean United.
Thomas is an active member of AIST, IHEA, ASME and SAE. He was awarded the Co-Inventor Patent Award # 6,260,563 – "High Speed Pickling with Recycling of Acid" and he Published a Paper for the 1997 ASME Design Engineering Technical Conferences, "Plate Buckling using the Linear Finite Element Method".
Thomas and his wife Wendy currently reside in Youngstown, OH. They have three grown children, Jessica, Daniel and Noah. Thomas enjoys travel, skiing, golfing, biking and other outdoor activities.
Thomas hopes his skill and expertise will help grow the HTF division of TTX grow. We are looking forward to it!
